Steve Sacks　

ワシントンD.C.生まれ。シカゴ、コネチカット州育ち。ジャズのサックス＆フルート・プレーヤー、またハーバード大学卒音楽理論学者として活動をスタート。アンドレ・ホデアー、カャシ・チャステーン・デボスと、ロン・カーター、ジョージ・ヤングなどと勉強。ー20年に及んでニューヨークのブラジル音楽、ラテン音楽とジャズシーンで活躍して来て、さらに40ヶ国以上で演奏活動をする。共演や録音に参加したアーティストには、小野リサ、ティト・プエンテ、アール・クルー、デューク・エリントン・オーケストラ、パキト・デリヴェラ、ポール・サイモン、トーキング・ヘッズ、デンマーク国立ラジオ・ジャズ・オーケストラ、香港交響楽団などがいる。現在までに2枚のソロCD「First Dream（初夢）」「Look To The Sky」を発表。

Steve Sacks was born in Washington D.C., and raised in Chicago and Connecticut (USA). He began as a jazz saxophonist and flutist, and Harvard University-trained musicologist, studying with Andre Hodeir, Kathy Chastain Debost, Ron Carter, George Young and others. Steve was active for 20 years on New York City's Latin music, Brazilian music, and jazz scenes, and has also performed in over 40 other countries throughout the world. His performing, recording, and arranging credits include Tito Puente, Lisa Ono, Earl Klugh, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Paquito D’Rivera, Paul Simon, Talking Heads, the Danish Radio Jazz Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He has released two solo CDs, First Dream and Look To The Sky.
